The Presidential Polls Are Stupid


Obama up by 11? By 9? By only 3? Oh, wait, McCain up by 1? All in the same day.

I'm rather sick of it. What exactly are polls for? What does it matter? I can think of only one thing... to change the atmosphere and influence the feelings and thinking of the electorate.
Ignore them.

Go vote for the candidate that you are convinced is best for the common good, and will uphold best our Constitution.

As a refresher, here is the preamble to the US Constitution. An introductory statement to this hallowed document that summarizes the purpose and guiding principles it means to serve:

“ We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

And let us not forget the words of Thomas Jefferson’s preamble to our Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

It is no coincidence that LIFE is listed first. Without it, how can one have liberty? Or anything else for that matter?
