Yesterday our entire family spent the day pulling weeds from the endless mounds of mulch that cover our yard. The exercise is always followed by the tradition of checking for ticks- a plague on Tennessee that we all deal with here.Ticks were obviously on my mind as I was doodling during the church service today. To the delight of one of my daughters sitting next to me, I drew a large tick on the side of my heel- bare because of the sandals I was wearing. The blue ball point pen leaving a surprising tattoo-like look.
