After 300, These Are A Few Of My Favorite Posts

Today is post # 300 at DigitalRichDaily. For bloggers that have been at for awhile, or those that post multiple times a day, that is no great feat. However, as a once a day poster, it’s a pretty big deal for me.

I will take this occasion to remember a few past stories posted here that are my favorites. I think I was inspired by my post yesterday. In that spirit, I am pleased to announce to you that this blog has been voted the BEST BLOG on the internet (by me and my family). Here are my favorite dishes for your enjoyment (in no particular order):

Check Out Last Month's Top 5 Greatest 'Hits' July 2007

#5 Being Right
Movies can entertain. They can even make you think. Once in awhile, they make you change.

#4 Picture and Story 4
Best friends reunited.

#3 The Last Mimzy
The movie was pretty good...but the bonus content meant to be a serious discussion of worm holes and time travel was HILARIOUS.

#2 My Chevy Suburban Is A Prius Offset
My urging to compare side by side Al Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth, along with the documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle.

#1 Read And Weep
LA Times religion reporter confesses his frustration and lack of faith in the Church. I completely understand how he feels. I just hope he doesn't lose faith in God. Unfortunately, the two are sometimes far apart from each other.

Finally- the highest HIT piece ever on DigitalRichDaily...WOW! A new one! After Fly The Friendly Skies 7 month reign on top, a new post climbs to the top position:

Unanswered Questions
A sobering discovery for my then 11 year old daughter as she fully understood all that happened to Anne Frank after completeing a book report and watching a film about her life.

Check Out Last Month's Top 5 Greatest 'Hits' June 2007

#5 This Is The End
The long and hot spring of girls softball 2007 comes to a close. Assistant coach positions on four teams was a bit more challenging and time consuming than I had anticipated.

#4 Relient K's 'Five Score And Seven Years Ago'
A shameless plug for our family's favorite music CD of 2007...so far.

#3 Red Hawk Down
People that know me would never peg me as an animal lover. I guess I do have a soft-spot deep down inside that shows itself once in a while.

#2 AT&T Is The New Cingular (And Got Off To A Bad Start With Me)
Yet another disaster day in Dallas. That city has it out for me.

#1 Red Wine
Embarrasing moments. Those are always the favorites. Especially with my family.

Finally- the highest HIT piece ever on DigitalRichDaily...yet again...from November 29th, 2006 (enough already):

Fly The Friendly Skies
A tale of hand-to-hand (or rather butt-to-face) combat at 30,000 feet.

Check Out Last Month's Top 5 Greatest 'Hits' May 2007

Remebering growing up and the love that was shared in our home.

#4 I'm One Of The 2.5 Million!
The glorious decline and death of network television.

#3 How Was Your Day?
An 8 year old's nonsensical rambling description of her day.

#2 The Writings Of A Stupid And Evil Man
A celebrated enviromental activist calls for the extermination of pests- mankind.

#1 Today I Had A Visitor
A ground hog stops by my office door to day hello.

Finally- the highest HIT piece ever on DigitalRichDaily...yet again...from November 29th, 2006 (though it is getting close to being unseated):

Fly The Friendly Skies
A tale of hand-to-hand (or rather butt-to-face) combat at 30,000 feet.

#5 My Top 5 Obsessive Thoughts
I was tagged. This was my response. Simple as that.

#4 Watch The Glove, Turn The Body, Throw The Leg, Snap The Hand, Grunt
This won the award for longest title to a post. Other than that, nothing too remarkable about it. It is the mantra I am getting my 11 year old to recite as she lears to fast-pitch in softball.

#3 Amateur Musician
A YouTube hit video I wanted to share. Seems more than a few people enjoyed it.

#2 Tax Time: Who Are Your Dependants?
My buddy FMF at FreeMoneyFinance.com made this a relative hit by mentioning it on his huge personal finance blog. Gotta love the plug. Thanks FMF!

#1 Carnival of Family Life 51
Nothing like having the top-read post of the month be made up almost entirely of other people's content. Does alot for the old ego. Check out the carnival edition- It took me toooo long to format it the way I did, but I think it made it fun to read.

I Fought The Law And The Law Won
A run down on how and when I have run afoul of the man with the badge over the last 40 years.

Fatigue Fatigue
I am not tired. I am not exhausted. I am simply fatigued. And tired of being so.

Y2K And The Leipers Fork Chili Cookoff
Confused about this one. Why would it be so high on my Google Analystics ratings? It was a throwaway post. Go figure.

When Trees Fly
A humbling story of trying to teach my little girls how to fly a kite, and failing repeatedly, only to have a 20 year old oak tree best my efforts.

The Frog And The Fly
Can people really change? I mean "deep down, throw all the bad out and become good" kind of change? I don't think people can. I know God can.

Finally- the highest HIT piece ever on DigitalRichDaily...yet again...from November 29th, 2006:

Fly The Friendly Skies

A school report starts a journey of shock, horror and understanding for my 11 year old daughter.

My Worst Presentation Ever Parts 1-3
Have you ever had a business presentation go horribly wrong? Oh yeah? Wanna compare notes? Check out this true tale of failure.

My A-ha! Moments
40 years worth of enlightenment in only 798 words.

Experimenting With Forms Of Government
Using government to solve the ever present problem of choosing which restaurant to go to.

Showdown At The Carmike Cinema Corral
A stare-down duel between DigitalRich and the mom of a 3-foot tall giant distraction during Charlottes Web.

The Burning Of The Christmas Tree
See how our family brings the Christmas season to an end. A bit sad, but that is easily overcome by the cool massive pictures of an intensely burning tree. Fire. Cool.

Mom And Dad Versus Hip Young People
OK. I am officially old. When I turned 30 a 20-something friend called me on my birthday to creepily say “you're no longer one of us.” This newest awakening at 40 was much harder to deal with.

Officer Birdhunter
What happens when, riding a school bus on the highway heading out on a field trip, a 6th grader extends the bird of friendship to a passing police cruiser?

Math On Moving Day
How I used simple multiplication and the power of observation to figure out helping my sister-in-law move to her new house would be as horrible as every other moving day I have been involved with. And how I made it easier.

Finally- the highest HIT piece ever on DigitalRichDaily...from November 29th, 2006:

Roman street performers, a little boy and my career.
